Weiyi & Kang Mei II

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

I’d like to thank everyone for the kind compliments for the earlier post on Weiyi and Kang Mei. Before I set off to Melbourne in another 2 hours time, I managed to process a few more pictures. I’d still like to thank Weiyi and Kang Mei for they are a very easy couple to work with. Once I say action, they are already posing for the camera.

Weiyi & Kang Mei

Haven’t been posting for the past one week due to the hectic schedule I have. Am preparing for my Melbourne shoot next week and realised I have a lot of work on hand. It’ll be a busy Oct but I’m sure I’ll enjoy myself.

It was good reuniting with Weiyi and Kang Mei yesterday. As usual, Weiyi is in his usual comical style. It was very very hot and I’m worried the sun will spoil the pictures but thankfully, the pictures turn out to my liking. Following are 2 pictures from this series. Guess I’ll only have time with the DI for the rest of the pictures after my trip.

Am really glad that Kang Mei and Weiyi like the pictures. Will be going for another shoot with them this coming Sat to cover the other scenic part of Singapore that we missed out the last round due to the rain. Will be looking forward to the shoot with this wonderful couple again. Miss the comical groom and the wonderful bride. Have to thank them for making the shoot such a wonderful experience.

ROM Shoot on Mid Autumn’s Festival III

The last set of pictures from this shoot. The buffet is good especially the tiramisu. A different Mid Autumn Festival for me this year with this shoot. Good food, nice ambience and not forgetting the pretty sisters and the handsome brothers.

Scenic Singapore

Friday, September 19th, 2008

Today I was trying to backup some of my stuff into my backup drive so as to make space for more pictures that I’m copying into my pc everyday. As technology for camera advances, we see more and more pixels being packed into the camera. I still remember the days when my 300D is only a 6.1mp camera. Now, the 5DmkII has a stunning 21.1mp sensor. Every shoot now is going to take up gigs and gigs of space. Storage is going to be a problem but thank goodness, harddisk is getting cheaper and cheaper nowadays. This reminds me of the 1st harddisk I owned, a 21mb harddisk during the DOS era and I was so proud I actually owned a harddisk then. Ha..it can’t even hold 1 picture now.

I always like taking scenery and Singapore does have lots of things to shoot. It’s only limited to our imagination. While I was browsing through my folders, I realised there’s lots of folders of pictures that I took and I haven’t have the time to look at it yet. Following are some pictures taken in Singapore which I like personally. You can make a guess where are all these pictures taken.

ROM Shoot on Mid Autumn’s Festival II

Thursday, September 18th, 2008

Since the solemnization is not going to happen, I suggested going around the hotel taking pictures before the buffet dinner starts. The hotel has a very nice garden in it’s backyard. I’d love to take more if not for the rain.

ROM Shoot on Mid Autumn’s Festival

Tuesday, September 16th, 2008

Manage to process some pictures after doing a shoot for an ex-colleague’s sister on Mid-Autumn Festival day itself. It feels good to be able to catch up with her after so many months. Poor thing, she really walk like a crab after some surgery done to her thigh. Hope she’ll recover soon.

This shoot is full of hipcups. Firstly, the ceremony is suppose to be a ROM solemnization but due to some miscommunication, it did not happen. Since everything was arranged and all their relatives and friends were invited, we proceeded with the shoot. Instead of signing the cert, we went around the hotel taking pictures. Secondly, I went to the wrong hotel, all thanks to Yvonne, who told me the wrong place. But nonetheless, it was a joy to meet up with old friend and of cos, shooting for her sister.

This set was taken inside the hotel room before we went out for the shoot.
