Mark & Kim Engagement Shoot

Wednesday, January 5th, 2011

The shoot with Mark & Kim was supposed to be done months ago, in fact many months ago. Mark travels a lot for his work, so to get hold of him for the shoot is very tough. It was really near their actual day that we decided to do the shoot some how even though Mark just got back from a trip and was still suffering from the jet lag. The shoot was short because he’s really tired but it’s a good one. Managed to capture a lot of them within the very short span of time we have.

Nan & Yao

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

Recently, I’ve been too busy to keep the blog up to date. It has been crazy for me clearing all my backlog as well as my own wedding preparation and also running for shoots and meetings in between whatever time I have. Oh ya, there’s the world cup going on now too. Little did I know there’s actually so much little details to a wedding to take care of until I go through it myself. I also realised one thing during my own pre-wedding shoot…that I still prefer shooting for others then to be the one being shot. Ha..

From meeting to confirming to discussion to the actual shoot, the whole procedure with Nan & Yao was done in less than a week. All I knew about them was through that brief discussion we had. I usually prefer to recce the place before the shoot so that it allows me to shoot something that is the most meaningful to the couple. I love to shoot images that are as close to who the couple are as possible so when they look at their pictures in years to come, it’ll still put a grin on their face.

Nonetheless, we had a good shoot. The shoot turn out well despite the rush. The rain in the morning was little of a spoiler but it didn’t dampen out mood. More of their images in my Facebook fan page soon. Meanwhile, here’s a few.

The Sun, the Beach & the Mozzie Forest

Friday, May 21st, 2010

The shoot with Daniel and Brenda was suppose to be done way back in April but it was always raining either in the morning or evening. By pushing the shoot to May, I thought we can get better weather but well, I guess the weather is rather eradical nowadays. It’s May and it’s still raining in the evening everyday.

We split the shoot into 2 days to avoid the rain the evening and all I can say is it’s well worth the torture of waking up early in the morning. The light is fabulous and not only can we have a more relax shoot, we are all warm up for the actual gown shoot. It definitely benefit both parties.

So, for all who wish to do their pre-wed shoot, for the same old good price, I’ll be able to split the shoot into 2 days, with a 3 hours casual on one day and the gown shoot on another day.

Here are some shots from their casual session.

Here’s a couple of images more from Je Wee & Hui Lee. There’s so much fun and laughter we went through inorder to create these images. Congratulations!

Je Wee & Hui Lee

The shoot with Je Wee and Hui Lee was done over 2 days with a rather relax first day casual shoot and a power pack 2nd day gown shoot. It was tiring but certainly very fun and fulfilling. Here are a few pictures to start it off. More pictures will be updated over the next few weeks.

In the Mood for Love

Thursday, August 13th, 2009

Work for the past week has been really hectic. I was so tired after a couple of days of shoot I simply don’t have the energy to stay alert in front of the computer. Gave myself some lame excuses and slept through the day yesterday and went for a nice movie (UP) in the evening. Not Pixar’s best but it’s worth watching.

Ok, back to the topic, did a short engagement shoot with Ben and Wan Yee. The day started with a slight drizzle but all went well in the evening. Wan Yee was a little camera shy in the beginning but after a few rounds of warm up, she’s also quite good with her poses ya.

For the love of Toys

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

Erika and Teck are avid toy collector. Their love for toys really amazed us. We are honoured to be invited to their house warming last Sat and we saw new toys the minute we stepped in. Hmm..I’m thinking by the time I go over again for their actual day, there will be new toys again. In no time, their house can be another Toy Museum.

Erika & Teck

Monday, July 20th, 2009

I just had a fun-filled pre wed shoot last Wednesday and it’s really really fun. Erika and Teck is one of the most crazy and comedic couple I’ve shot that made me laugh all the way. Teck is a natural comedian and he never fails to entertain us with every sentence he says. They are natural in front of the camera and gives you all the funny faces the moment you start shooting. Everything was good except for the super heavy rain in the morning. Though we ended pretty late, it was great joy being around them. I’m definitely looking forward to their big day! Congratulations!

Here’s a quick preview of the pics..to be continued.

Seeing double? As pointed out by Erika, Teck does have some similarity with Popeye.

Boyce & Velda

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

Boyce and Velda is certainly an amazing couple to shoot. They had their solemnization last month at the very cosy Tian Fu Teahouse @ UOB Plaza. Along with the ROM, we went for a very quick outdoor shoot as well. Had a quick walk around Singapore River and we had lots of nice chat along the way. Here are some of the outdoor shots, more of their solemnization in later post.

It was the start of the school holiday and everywhere we went, we saw lots of school students around. After a brief chat with some of the kids, we realised they were having an inter-school amazaing race. Wow, students nowadays are so different from what we used to do back then. It was either an excursion to the Zoo or the Science Centre. It was so nice of them when I asked them to join in the shoot for some fun.

I really like the expression Boyce did for this. It’ll somehow remind us what are the silly stunts or expression we’ll do whenever we make our partner angry. It really shows the love they have for each other. There are more hilarious pictures but I’ll leave those for the 2 of them.

Serene & Daniel – SG II

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

While working on Daniel & Serene’s wedding album this very moment, it just brought back those cool memories of our Melbourne trip last year and how brave Serene was to shoot in 10 degree weather. Had an amazing shoot with lots of nice scenary back then and right here, back in our home town, we agreed on a theme to focus on more poses and portraits. I feel it turn out pretty well and am really glad we made it for this second shoot. It’s kind of addictive. Serene look really great in her cheongsam. Guess she’s all good to go for her wedding come August.
